Our philosophy

Although the goal of PMC is to defend the common interests of its members, it keeps in mind that it is just one link in the construction chain.
Any building or construction - either public or private - is like a chain in which each actor - owner, architect, contractor, engineer, producer of materials - is a link.
The quality of the construction, which can be defined as the durable fulfilment of the users' needs, depends on each of these links.
The PMC members adopted the principle of never being the weak link.

Therefore one of their first common concerns was to encourage the quality certification of their products by competent and impartial bodies.
This was put into practice by making use, on a general scale, of the BENOR and ATG procedures managed by the Belgian Institute for Standardization (IBN) and the Belgian Union for Technical Approval in Construction (UBAtc).

The coming introduction of the European CE marking, which will be compulsory for any construction product put on the market, will be followed with persistent attention.
PMC will see that this marking keeps its securing image and does not slip into administrative routine and be watchful as regard any kind of improper use of the marking.
